World Of Chaldea has launched a YouTube channel in late 2020. While you’re there, click on that ‘subscribe’ button. Erica (credited as ‘Eric’) composed and produced music for the first season – four out of eight episodes. The Long Haul

The Long Haul is a documentary about the meaning of beauty in an industry that limits the definition of attraction. The film follows the visionaries behind Seattle’s Moulin Rouge-inspired cabaret club, Can Can, who depart the flooded burlesque market to re-imagine the limited male revue. The result is the Buckaroos — a theatrical cowboy western variety show featuring the “everyman”.

Beneath the cowboy hats and bedazzled thongs, The Long Haul explores themes of masculinity and sexuality through the vulnerabilities of each Buckaroo.

Erica composed and produced an underscore featuring guitars, bass, drums, piano and strings to build on the Buckaroo’s journey with a bit of twang and some bedazzled notes. They also composed and produced several foreground music cues.

But how do they escape, and who, or what, is the real monster in this cerebral thriller? Directed by Jason Morris, Erica composed and produced music and sound effects for the feature-length film Collapse (2015).

Ancient Aliens: Severed Skies is the debut game title from ZeroPoint Studios! From the website: “Ancient Aliens promises to marry the familiar and the groundbreaking in an unforgettable action experience that keeps players on the edge of their seat. Do you have what it takes to save the Earth from the very aliens that helped build our ancient civilizations?”

Erica has worked closely with developers, sound designers, artists and team to launch the first iteration of the game for iPhone. Take a listen below to an early preview of some of the music Erica worked on.

Celebrate World Music wins 13th Annual IMA Award!

Erica (credited as ‘Eric’) and seven other composers are thrilled that “Celebrate World Music” is one of The 13th Annual Independent Music Awards Vox Pop Winners announced in August of 2014! Erica composed “Africa Dances, Africa Dreams” for the March 2013 CD release that is a Vox Pop Winning Album in the Contemporary Classical category. ECCC 2014 Teaser for America’s Fighting Dinosaur!

Emerald City ComicCon 2014 saw a new short teaser video for the up and coming America’s Fighting Dinosaur faux documentary by Steve Snoey. Erica wrote and produced the music in short order for an August 2nd screening at the Phoenix DinoCon 2014 in Arizona! Listen to the score here:

Back in April, 2014 Erica delivered the recording of their score to writer/director Chris Volckmann for the short film “Hannah & Otto,” which premiered in May as one of five films in the Fly Filmmaking Challenge at SIFF 2014. Erica, credited as ‘Eric,’ wrote three cues, one for string orchestra, and two for solo piano which he later recorded with graciously donated time and equipment from his friends and colleagues. The premier of the film at SIFF 2014 was well received, and it went on to seen at other film festivals. You can see this film here, or listen to a sampling of two of the cues below:

Africa Dances, Africa Dreams

This past March 2013 has marked the second time that Erica has premiered their orchestral music at Benaroya Hall. As one of eight pieces for the sold-out event, the premier of Erica’s composition “Africa Dances, Africa Dreams” featured Arturo Rodriguez on African percussion, the Northwest Synphonia chamber orchestra, and David Sabee as conductor. Credited as ‘Eric’ for this debut, they and the other composers have been featured in publications leading up to the performance, including My Ballard, and Seattle Times. ”Africa Dances” was also featured on KRCB during an interview with Arturo on the Percussion Discussion with Jim Laveroni.

Told in the setting of a sailing ship that unexpectedly encounters mysterious voices singing from afar, Erica weaves a colorful journey through the emotions of intrigue, temptation, and beyond.

Stellar Surfaces!
